Michael Scott, PT, DPT, founder/owner

Mike Scott is an experienced, forward-thinking physical therapist, whose practice incorporates a mixture of manual and traditional therapies, as well as non-traditional rehabilitation methods. He focuses on maximizing patients' overall wellness so they can return to their desired social, occupational, and recreational activities.

Prior to founding Kinetic Potential Physical Therapy in 2013, Mike gained extensive experience in the outpatient orthopedic setting, at clinics in both Boston and Los Angeles. He is highly skilled in various areas of physical therapy including orthopedics, sports medicine, and athletic/performance enhancement.

Mike's extensive professional development and advanced training includes certifications in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and the TRX suspension trainer. In addition, he holds a Level-II kettlebell and body-weight instructor certifications through StrongFirst, a medical golf screening certification through the Titleist Performance Institute, and a CPR certification. His focus on evidence-based, outcomes-driven continuing education helps inform Mike's progressive methodology, based on a "movement is medicine" mindset.

Mike holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University, where he also received his undergraduate degree. In his free time, Mike likes to read, write, golf, lift heavy things, hike, cook, and spend time with his family and friends.
